This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data however we collect it, through our website, when you contact us by email or messaging, when you book a call, in the course of working together, or when we meet in person. It is not limited to our website.

2. The short version
We aim to collect as little of your data as possible.
- We do not sell your personal data. Ever.
- We do not track you across other websites, and we run no advertising cookies on this site.
- Our website analytics are privacy-friendly and set no cookies.
- The personal data we hold is what you choose to give us, through our website, by contacting us, or in the course of working together, plus a small amount of technical data your browser sends automatically so our site works and is protected from abuse.
The sections below explain each of these in full.
3. What personal data we collect, and why
"Personal data" means any information that can identify you, directly or indirectly, such as your name, email address, telephone number, or IP address.
We collect personal data in the following situations.
3.1 When you submit the Marketing Diagnostic
To provide the free marketing diagnostic you request, we collect:
- Contact details: your name, email address, and (optionally) telephone number
- Business information: your business name, website address, location, the market you serve, what your business sells, your target customer, your primary goal, and the languages you work in
- Social media presence: links to your business profiles, where you choose to provide them (all optional)
- Technical data: your IP address, the time of submission, and a verification token from our anti-spam provider
Why: to prepare and deliver your diagnostic, and to respond to your enquiry.
Legal basis: performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). You have actively asked us for this service, and we need this information to provide it.
If you opt in to marketing: the form includes an optional, unticked checkbox inviting you to receive occasional B2B marketing insights from us. If, and only if, you tick it, we will also process your contact details to send you those communications. The legal basis for this is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), and you can withdraw it at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message or by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect the diagnostic you requested.
How we produce your diagnostic: we use AI-assisted research tools to analyse the publicly available information you point us to, your website, your public search presence, and the social profiles you provide. This means the business details you submit may be processed by the third-party AI services we use for this research, configured to protect your data. Every diagnostic is reviewed and approved by a person before it is sent; no findings are generated or sent automatically.
Information about others: if you name competitors in your submission, our research may touch publicly available information about those businesses, which can include personal data where a business is an individual. We keep any such analysis light and factual, we use it only to prepare your diagnostic, and we do not contact or profile those third parties.
3.2 When you submit a question through our FAQ page
To answer a question you send us, we collect your email address, the text of your question, your IP address, and an anti-spam verification token.
Why: solely to answer your question and to understand which topics our visitors want covered.
Legal basis: steps taken at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Important: if you send us a question here, we use your email address only to reply. We do not add you to any marketing list on the basis of an FAQ question. If you would also like to hear from us, the diagnostic form offers a separate, optional way to opt in.
3.3 When you book a discovery call
Our booking page uses an embedded scheduling tool (Cal.com). When you choose to load and use it, you provide your name, email address, any notes you add, and, where these fields are enabled, your business name and (optionally) your telephone number.
Why: to schedule and hold the call, and to send you the calendar invitation and video-meeting link.
Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
The booking tool does not load until you actively choose to load it. See section 7 on cookies.
3.4 When you contact us directly
If you email us or message us (including via WhatsApp Business), we process the contact details and content of that correspondence.
Why: to communicate with you and manage our business relationship.
Legal basis: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) where you are a client or active prospect, or our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence (Article 6(1)(f)).
3.5 When we meet in person or are introduced to you
If we meet at an event, exchange business cards, or someone introduces us, we may keep your name, business, and contact details, together with a note of how we met.
Why: to follow up and to manage business relationships and introductions.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in developing business relationships (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3.6 When we work together
If you become a client, we collect the information we need to deliver the work, typically the names, roles, and contact details of the people we work with, business information, and, where relevant, access to the accounts and tools required to do the job.
Why: to provide the services we have agreed.
Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
3.7 When we act on behalf of a client
When a client engages us to run their marketing, we may handle personal data belonging to their customers or contacts, for example order information, enquiries submitted through their website, or social-media messages sent to our client. Where we manage a client's website content, this can include access to messages their visitors send them. In these cases we are acting for our client, not for ourselves. See section 5 for what this means for you.
3.8 Technical data collected automatically
When you visit the site, a small amount of technical data is processed automatically:
- Security and anti-spam: when you use a form, your IP address is checked by our anti-spam provider and used to limit repeat submissions. This protects the site from automated abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in securing our services (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Analytics: we measure page views and site performance in aggregate using a privacy-friendly, cookieless tool. This does not store anything on your device and is not used to track you across other sites. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving how our site is used (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3.9 Free-text fields
Some fields, such as your primary goal, or a question you send us, let you write freely. Please do not include sensitive personal information (such as health, political, or religious details) in these fields. We do not ask for it and do not need it.
4. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
We use a small number of trusted service providers ("processors") who process personal data on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions. Each is bound to protect your data and to use it only for the purpose we specify.
| Provider | What they help us do | Where data is processed |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Workspace, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, Meet) | Email, lead records, file storage, scheduling | EU data region configured; US parent company |
| Vercel | Website hosting and privacy-friendly analytics | EU region for site functions; US company |
| Upstash | Temporary storage for anti-spam and form confirmation | Ireland (EU) |
| Resend | Sending confirmation and notification emails | EU region |
| Cloudflare | Anti-spam protection on our forms | United States |
| Cal.com | Discovery-call scheduling | EU instance |
| Zoho | Invoicing and financial records | United States |
| Meta (WhatsApp Business) | Messaging, where you contact us this way | United States |
We may also disclose personal data if required by law, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
International transfers
Some of our providers are based in, or owned by companies in, the United States. Where your personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on an approved transfer mechanism, either the provider's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, so that your data continues to receive an equivalent level of protection.
You may request further information about these transfers, and a copy of the relevant safeguards, by contacting us.
5. Our two roles: when this policy applies to you
There are two different situations, and it matters which one you are in.
When we decide how your data is used, we are the "controller", and this Privacy Policy applies. This is the case for everyone who contacts us, requests a diagnostic, books a call, or becomes our client.
When a client engages us to run their marketing, and we handle their customers' data on their behalf, we are the "processor." In that role we use the data only on our client's instructions, and it is governed by our agreement with that client rather than by this policy. If your data was given to a business that is our client, for example, if you placed an order with them or messaged them, and you have questions about how it is used, please contact that business directly, as they are the controller of your data.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes described above.
- Enquiries, leads, correspondence, bookings, contact records, and client project information: up to six years from our last contact with you or the end of our engagement. This reflects the long timescales of business-to-business relationships and allows us to keep proper records.
- Questions submitted through the FAQ page: deleted within a short period after we have answered them.
- Invoicing and financial records: retained for a minimum of six years, as required by law. These records are kept even if you ask us to delete other data, for as long as we are legally obliged to hold them.
- Temporary technical data (anti-spam checks, form-confirmation tokens): automatically deleted within hours to days.
When we act for a client (section 5), different rules apply to their customers' data: we delete or return it within a short period after the engagement ends, as set out in our agreement with that client. The six-year period above applies to our own business records of the relationship, not to client customers' data we processed on the client's behalf.
When personal data is no longer needed, we delete it.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We use very few cookies, and none for advertising or cross-site tracking. Full details are in our separate Cookie Policy. In summary:
- A language-preference cookie remembers whether you are viewing the site in English or Spanish. This is a functional cookie that does not identify you.
- Local storage on the diagnostic form temporarily saves your progress so you do not lose your answers if the page reloads. It is stored only in your browser and cleared when you submit.
- Our analytics set no cookies and store nothing on your device.
- The discovery-call booking tool sets cookies necessary for it to function, but only after you actively choose to load it. It does not load, and sets nothing, unless you click to open it.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Rectify data that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to any legal obligation we have to keep it
- Restrict how we process your data
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interests
- Data portability, receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent, without affecting processing already carried out
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@parascalar.com. We will respond within one month.
There is no charge for exercising your rights, though we may charge a reasonable fee or decline to act if a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
Your right to complain
If you believe we have mishandled your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Spain, this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), www.aepd.es. You may also complain to the authority in your own EU country of residence. We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.
9. How we protect your data
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your data secure, including encryption of data in transit, anti-spam and rate-limiting protection on our forms, confirmation steps before we act on enquiries, access controls on our systems, and secure storage of credentials. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and to respond appropriately if a problem occurs.
10. Children
Our services are directed at businesses and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.
